Learn more about breast health, cancer detection and advocacy at an outreach event that is scheduled for August 10 at 6:30 pm at Samaritan on Main. The public is welcome to attend and enjoy free refreshments as well.
SA2 Collaborative, the recently launched breast health initiative, is hosting this event, and others throughout the year, to provide much-needed education about breast health.
In addition, SA2 Collaborative also provides specifically tailored outreach efforts to link underserved women with screening services, such as free mammograms. These underserved women have been identified as those who are 40 and older, living in Ashland or surrounding counties.
SA2 Collaborative is derived from the three local organizations spearheading outreach efforts: Samaritan Regional Health System, Ashland Christian Health Center and Ashland County Cancer Association.
Funding for SA2 Collaborative is provided by the Northeast Ohio Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an organization highly regarded as a leader in the breast cancer movement.
