Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group
Wednesday, September 15, 2010
Frank Miller Memorial Building380 E. 4th Street
Ashland, OH 44805
This unique support group, known as Women with Hope, pairs breast cancer patients with breast cancer survivors who dealt with a similar form of breast cancer and treatment. What develops from there is dependent on how much involvement the breast cancer patient would like. Mentors are willing to provide the occasional phone call or attend as many appointments and treatment sessions as possible.
Breast cancer survivors who would like to serve as mentors can still do so even if they work during the day and can’t attend the monthly support group meetings.
Please contact the Ashland Christian Health Center at 419-903-0475 if you would like to join Women with Hope, whether you are a breast cancer survivor or a breast cancer patient.
Funding for Women with Hope is provided by a grant from the Northeast Ohio Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the same grant that led to the creation of SA2 Collaborative. SA2 Collaborative is a breast health program facilitated by Samaritan Regional Health System, Ashland Christian Health Center and Ashland County Cancer Association.
