September 3, 2009

On Thursday, September 3, 2009, Bev Spreng, Development Director for Samaritan Hospital Foundation, was the guest presenter at the noon meeting of the Ashland Lion's Club.  Speaking to the members in attendance, Bev spoke about the history of Samaritan Hospital and importance of community support and philanthropy to its continued growth and stability, emphasizing that Samaritan Hospital belongs to the community and it is up to the community to keep it strong.  Bev stressed the importance of having a strong health care system to the recruitment of businesses, professionals and families to our area.  The video tour of the newly renovated and expanded Emergency Department was shown as well as a DVD outlining the plans for the renovation/expansion of the Women's and Birthing Unit.  Lion's Club members in attendance were given pledge materials and assured that, if they or someone they love should need care, their gifts will help our Samaritan Hospital to be there, and be ready, with the care they need.
